Being part of the Junior Counselor Leadership in Training Program in Junior Outpost is an amazing experience. Working with 5-7 year old campers takes imagination, patience, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail. For two weeks, you will assist a Senior Counselor to make your group a safe place for younger elementary-aged campers to explore, learn, and challenge themselves.
At Outpost, you will be able to see your campers develop friendships, learn every day, and make connection with you!
On this page, there are valuable resources to help you learn and develop the skills you will use during your session at Outpost.
The first day of Junior Counselor Training is held at Canyonside Community Park on Saturday, June 12th from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Your second day of training is the Saturday before your Session starts from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – see dates below. For training days, JCs should bring a sack lunch, water, and wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothes to each day of training.
